on selling Shopping.net for 13.3 Million USD

ValueClick Inc., a digital marketing services company, said Monday it bought Shopping.net, a privately held operator of comparison shopping and search Web sites in Europe, for $13.3 million in cash.

London-based Shopping.net, which owns 27 sites, will be integrated into ValueClick's European arm, the company said.

The company said Shopping.net is expected to generate about $4 million in sales for calendar 2006. Its contribution to ValueClick's results for the current quarter is expected to be immaterial, the company said.

This is a great British success story and should be right up there on the Headline page, Business Week seemed to think so. Value Click is really a company to watch, and they are making all the right noises.
