Why is Inktomi such a sod with its results one minute you are 1st/2nd the next you can't be found anywhere, BUT the site is still in the index. Is it something to do with the you've got 2 weeks to proove yourself or else you are out...
The other thing aol.co.uk which is fed from inktomi, with a brand new site will except it very quickly have it in its index for 2 weeks then will never let it back in again. Like wise for MSN..
One minute you are in the next you are out then you are in again etc etc ...
When so many SE's use Ink it is difficult to please the client, you give them a position report one week and the next week they are on the phone complaining that they can't find their site.. What do I say to them ??
Any ideas.
I think that it rotates between three sets of results giving everyone the chance of ranking in a top twenty position..
