Should I host in the US or Ireland

I have 3 .ie's all hosted in the US. I'm listed on Google.ie but I would like to improve my rankings.

Would hosting in Ireland increase my ranking eventually?

I would say there hasn't been in the past but there have been a number of this sort of question recently, including some who have lost ranking on google.com but kept their ranking google.cctld
