are you referring to the Directory? if so sorry don't know but web results must have been recently updated as I've just got some new pages in

There has been a fairly major update on non-paid for pages in the 'permanent' Inktomi DB. Lots of movement - but I held on to my own main #1 spot - phew - but dropped a few places on some other terms. Several new non-paid pages picked up and listed. Directory seems to update at the same time as AOL US, last one about 3 weeks ago.

all mine came from pt submissions most in the top 3 :) unfortunately nothing got in for free, sign of the times

a couple our top positions in aol.co.uk appear to come from Looksmart.com - or am I mistaken? Do you know why this is happening? And should I keep quiet;)

LookSmart does have a big influence over Inktomi positions and your listing is not unusual, many have the same experience. It appears that Inktomi not only looks at the usual stuff on your page but also takes in to consideration the LookSmart description and category to give you a further boost. There was a discussion about this on [webmasterworld.com...]

Since then, if anything, the influence has grown.
