Help Needed: Looksmart UK or Looksmart USA?

Must I submit to the former if British site (USA is cheaper)

Looksmart UK only seems to have one submission method, and the charge is quite hefty: £117.50, which is about $150

I'm not in a terrible hurry to get my site listed; as a matter of fact, it will be two weeks by the time it is complete.

With my website being a British, must I submit it to Looksmart UK? Or may I submit it to Looksmart USA where I only have to pay $99?

For a British site, you'd be wise to submit to LS uk, to get it into Excite uk, BT etc.

It's as well you're not in a hurry, the uk version is much slower to index than the USA one.

I submited my first site to looksmart(uk) on the 19/3 still no sign of it yet in the database, any idea on how long it normally takes. I do remember somethinng about 4 weeks

You're up early for a Saturday! LS UK seems to average about 4-5 weeks but the entry usually shows up in MSN UK in about 2 weeks from your acceptance e-mail (which is where the real traffic comes from).

for once I'm not going to be sat in front of this box all day, off to homebase for some DIY bit's. lets hope I can still type with one hand, as looking at my past experiences with DIY normally something gets either stuck in the wrong hole or in the wrong place.

just dragged myself away from my router(said in a very ****ney accent)to check the MSN listing's and yep they're there couldn't ask for better all keywords at number uno! lets hope that pleases the client

oh well back to the wood :)

P.S now on looksmart/excite with same ranking great value for money.

The LookSmart UK site says:
"Guaranteed site review within 5 working days".

Do you mean it's slow to actually get your site listed in the directory, or for they to actually review it?

no review was fine back within the 5 days, just was wondering how long before it started show in the database
