Right, got to be careful on this one because there are a lot of resellers about (I'm not one but better to be above suspicion.)

For those of you who noticed an update on a certain position checker this week regarding AV UK, Google UK and Lycos UK.

I'd like to congratulate the program's support team for their excellent customer support. I e-mailed them on Monday and within the course of 24 hours I had recieved two e-mails, one 'in progress' and one 'fixed problem'. The update was then posted the next day.

It's great to have such a quick response and attention to the UK SEO community.

Thats all.

sorry! me to please.

I have posted on the AV forum regarding some very strange discrepencies between reporting using 2 leading software packages and totally different results when cross checking using a 'real' browser search. I had wondered if AV (.com and .co.uk) had now found a way to block auto reporting as well as submission.

I'm using the same program as you and haven't noticed any discrepancies on AltaVista or AltaVista UK.

Check that you are using the latest auto-update.

If this isn't the problem try your settings on the two AltaVistas. By default I think the program uses a proxy with adult filtering on.

If all else fails, send a mail to the support e-mail. It was, after all, because of their good service that I posted this in the first place.

*as an added thought I noticed this on today's update:

"Changed trial version to enable UK-specific search engines when running in the UK."

So that's good news for anyone wanting to sample it in the UK, kind of got the feeling that _someone_ is watching us though...
