" You can now reach 25% of UK Internet users. In just three months, GoTo UK has established search traffic partnerships with www.freeserve.com, www.icircle.com,www.clearlybusiness.com, www.ask.co.uk, www.libertysurf.co.uk,www.x-stream.co.uk and www.freeola.com. This means every day your Web site is appearing in search result listings seen by up to one quarter of Internet users in the UK. "
I don't know about the importance of the other new SE's but someone most be using them, anyone know of anyone that use's icircle.com ?
I would actually say that 25% is rather conservative, as I've always received a good amount of traffic from freeserve & ask, although I don't know why people use Ask I personally hate the dam thing !!
Now if they were to get lycos/excite.co.uk I think we would all need to get our clients to get there gold credit cards out to cover the bids
Whats the hightest bid anyones come across so far ?, I've a client in the recruitment industry and I've just finished working on a report for his new site and marketing, the search term "job" is currently running at 42p per click OOOch !!! now that's got to start getting expensive
The others, with the exception of ask.co.uk, are very much also rans, I wouldn't expect to see any significant traffic. Evan at ask.co.uk the GoTo results are tucked away at the bottom, you'll get very few clicks compared with the lycos.co.uk "inspired" DH listings.
>I would actually say that 25% is rather conservative
I say it is an overestimate, particularly if you look at potential traffic rather than mere "reach".
>the search term "job" is currently running at 42p per click OOOch !!!
hehehe, try this search [ifind.freeserve.com], not the highest I've seen but do you think number two needs a wake up call!
