UK ranking sites

Are there any sites or tools to get UK engine rankings?

I am doing SEO on a UK specific site and although there are quite a few resources for getting the ranking and backlink count on Google.com, yahoo.com, etc, I can't seem to find any that do that for google.co.uk, yahoouk, etc. Does anyone have any suugestions? At the moment I am using prsearch.net, sitereportcard, etc.

Try to get into DMOZ under the 'uk' category (because of Google's feed from DMOZ).

The same links on the .com will work on the .co.uk sites.

What it's worth looking for are links from regional areas of directories, such as the Open Directory, [dmoz.org] (as andye mentioned) or quality, UK-based directories and sites.

So will it be frowned upon to submit both geographically as well as generically (i.e., job sites and then UK>jobsites) on Dmoz?
Also does anyone how mush the backlinks really vary on com vs .co.uk engines?
