Agree with you. Looksmart just wanted out of the UK and even those who approached them to try and do a deal, were ignored.

But I guess, they had other more important issues on their mind, like trying to keep the company going in the States.

At one point the domain was forwarding to uknetguide - it was publicised as a major deal for them, so what happened?

Sad really it was far more fun in the good ol' days. Far more choice and far more trying to work out who was doing what, AV, Excite, Looksmart, Lycos, UKPlus the list goes on. What do we have today. Google, Yahoo, MSN and luckily DMOZ, but that now doesn't seem to be as much fun as it used to be.

As has been noted, it began to lose traffic very rapidly anyway.
