Can anyone recommend any websites (large/traffic) or portals that target this demo.

I am aware of Handbag.com and Icircle but are there any others out there worth targeting for a Christmas campaign.

Genuine responses only please, especially from those who have had a good campaign.

are you referring to banners or email?

both

I see no reason to having banners on one and piggy banking their emails.

Ideally though a text link on a site and newsletter would be the best solution. Not sure if banners are the best solution for a Xmas campaign especially if you are trying to increase revenue.

How about Ivillage? I don't have any expertise in this area though.

Hangbag.com, ivillage.co.uk are the top two sites with high traffic. Handbag tends to have a slightly younger audience than ivillage. Other than those, how about GM.TV. We've worked with all the sites and targeted the same demo. and have had some great results.

A few years ago they did a media guide to main advertising opportunities in the UK featuring 100 online medias and their details

Is anything like this banging around now?

I ran a campaign with Handbag last year and was disapointed with the results.

At that time I also looked at Femail.co.uk which targets the same market. It's part if a UK national newspaper.

It's a tuff one this.

I have approached some of the companies on the list and all they are interested in is cost per impression.

Want for a better term...banners. Haven't these people moved on. Being an ecommerce website I would much prefer an affiliate relationship, at worse ppc. If Google can start at 4p, so can everyone else.

Hi,

My attention has been aroused by this thread. I work in an adventure sports niche and thought perhaps ( given ive demographed all the clients from last year ) that we might give targetted banner ads a go.

What advice would people have , im working from a perspective of ´thickness ´ here ..

Have no idea who to contact ( Double click told me they are no longer in the market )

I can measure ROI through campaign tracking though.

Is there a one stop shop for banners that are demo targeted?

Have you had any success with FirstFem.

I have had a look at Alexa for a guide of their traffic and they are out stripping Handbag. Interesting.

Hi,

Where would you suggest I go to purchase advertising on these type of sites?

I contacted them directly. Web Companies will either give you a price or point you to their subcontracted advertising company.

Hope it helps.
