Has anyone noticed a big drop in Google CPC rates for April? I am seeing an upturn back towards what it used to be for May,(so far) but we had a big drop in April and wondered if anyone has seen the same thing.

Can anyone could throw any light on a possible reason?

The only thing I can think of is that it is the start of the new financial year. The only problem with this theory is that I have actually seen a rise in Overture CPC

Any thoughts?

Other way round for the bigger accounts that I manage. Not sure why.

Easter probably saw a lot of people take off on holiday.

Why would people going on holiday reduce the cost of PPC adverts? I understand that it would mean that there were less searches, but would this significantly affect the average PPC bid prices?

I also saw a significant reduction in bid prices (CPC) on Google last month, but I have no explanation for it.
