Which UK Search engines...

which ones should I use

I am new to this forum, so please bear with me.

I am in the United States, and I am preparing to begin an international campaign starting with UK/Ireland. I am curious about which particular UK search engines would be most useful to get our site seen by the most people. Thanks for any help.

have a look and you decide which are suitable for your own site

there has been a few posts the same as yours and each time someone has posted their own opinion the thread has either been edited or removed

Espotting and Mirago both have good user bases in the UK as well as Google and Overture.

Just my 2 cents.

For UK I suggest you a uk.co dominion (there is no restrictions, everybody could buy it), otherwise you will not be accepted for inclusion in several UK directories

Hi,

If you are looking for organic listings.

Get onto a server in the UK. I have .co.uk and .com domains that get listed in pages from UK results. I'd go .co.uk though as it is maginally better but do get on a UK based server.

In terms of traffic.

Organic listings, in order of importance for me when I was ranking #1 on all SEs for the term I'm referring to.

22% www.google.co.uk
18% uk.search.msn.com
14% www.google.com
12% www.ask.co.uk
8% uk.search.yahoo.com
7% search.freeserve.com
6% aolsearch.aol.co.uk
13% The rest
