ok we all know that freeserve are using Overture and a FAST backfill.

But do you think that freeserve have got it wrong by using that many Overture results.

Pro's : easy to get a top ten on freeserve.

Con's : some of the search terms are catching to many broadmatch results from Overture.

personally I Like 3 - 5 sponsored results and then the rest free listings. I just feel you get more relevancy.

What's your thoughts?

I am happy with how Overture presents their results at Freeserve, and the tracking we have done with freeserver traffic have proven to be awesome, one of the top 3 partners for Overture defenetly.

Isn't there a Webfinder link thrown in there as well?

I agree that anything more than 4 or 5 ads is really pushing it, especially if it isn't a commercial oriented search.

that freeserve have 3 results from the Freeserve network

When I originally signed up to webfinder they guaranteed:

#1 freeserve network
#2 webfinder
#3 webfinder

would be live within weeks to make the ppc model more competitive. That was back in June!

I guess freeserve see the Overture commercials as more important and of higher value.
