Twitter Blue Now Allows Up To 10,000 Characters

I'm a twitter user, and, for those that don't know, Blue offers other 'extras', and this extended characters is not something you'll see in your stream without actively viewing.

i should think this is a step to help content creators monetize their content on twitter. subscribers would be more likely to pay for longer comments or rather short articles.

TEN THOUSAND characters? If a typed page is 250 words, and a “word” for typing-speed purposes is 5 characters, I make that eight pages. That's not a tweet, it's a screed.

In other news, Twitter's efforts to eliminate bots are moving apace; over the weekend it was reported that they have successfully blocked automated NWS alerts.
