According to sources, written up in Bloomberg, Twitter is building a subscription product to easw its dependence on advertising. The program is called, "Rogue One" according to thew reports, and could include charging for the use of tweetdeck, and advanced features such as "undo send" and customisation of profiles.

Twitter Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal said on a call with investors last year that a subscription option of some kind would offer sales “durability,” and recurring revenue is more consistent than advertising spending. Segal cautioned in July that Twitter was not only “very, very early” in exploring a subscription service, but also planned to be picky about how it goes forward. “We have a really high bar for when we would ask consumers to pay for aspects of Twitter,” he said.

I'd like to see an option to edit a tweet, which twitter has resisted for many years.

What Twitter should offer is a means of letting content creators offer a subscription to their feed, making exclusive content only available to subscribed users.

That's a good idea.

Part of the problem with twitter is filtering, and there used to be great ways to do that within the very original tweetdeck (remembver that). At the moment it's quite difficult to find things in the way that it used to be.
