You guessed it -- I was one of the so-called unfortunate users that got stuck with the new design by default with no way to ever go back to legacy Twitter.
Was wondering how many of you here have suffered the same fate.

Pros or Cons?

The accts I manage all have the option to select legacy Twitter (at least for now)- My own acct tho' doesn't have that option.
I've also noticed that Twitter is pushing ads more aggressively (seeing them in the timeline whereas before I wasn't) -- I guess that's fine, as each of these platforms are well within their rights to annoy as many people as possible in their pursuit of money.

As far as viewing well on selected devices and in certain browsers, I've discovered that the new Twitter doesn't view well at all in the tablet or laptop using Firefox (I can see the frame-set borders in the smaller screen resolutions)

I keep social totally off of the smart phone due to privacy in relation to my clients so I'm not real sure how it would all come together there.

I'm sort of an old huckster with regard to being used to how things should look ... For instance, when MSNBC went from being a news site to being a picture site, I quit visiting -- Same with TechCrunch ... When TechCrunch went from being a genuinely well laid out build to that huge fail of giant fonts, I quit visiting there too.

So ... What do you guys think?
How do you like that new Twitter build?

Why not just ask #newtwitter? [twitter.com] :)

Terrible UI. Bad UX.
so incredibly UGLY.
it's literally the mobile version plastered on a screen
It looks like a trash fire
HOW THE #*$! DO I GO BACK?
it's GOD AWFUL!
This new one not only looks awful, it performs way worse. It freezes the screen every time I hit delete when writing a tweet? What the #*$!? No one asked for a new design you clowns...

Twitter is "re-imagining" themselves these days as the new mediator of conversations. Meanwhile, apparently figure they need a new look to go with the new philosophy. (sigh)

a new look to go with the new philosophy

Found out the new look isn't really a "new" look after all .. A friend pointed out today that this so-called new look is just the "old" mobile look. Makes sense actually, as it seemed that the so-called new look for desktop was having problems reconciling the main navigation (icon vs text link for home) -
And the "new philosophy" looks more to me like an "identity crisis" than anything else.

Good news is that I've actually spent less time on the platform over the past couple of days -
