Techcrunch is reporting that twitter is working on a "Hide Tweet" option to help users protect their conversations.

Like it sounds, “Hide Tweet” functions as an alternative to muting or blocking a user, while still offering some control over a conversation.

I'd rather they addressed the elephant in the room (ideology and banning) than pulling the blinds down on a private act which, if it really was private, had no business being put out there in the first place.
