Hi, Good morninig! Is Twitter important for eCommerce site? How does it help improve sales? How much website visitors does it contribute (percentage) in a week/month? thanks.

Twitter is like any social media. You get out of it what you put into it. AFAIK there are no real "numbers" for your questions.

it really depends of the kind of products/services you are selling. A good buzz on social networks, can bring plenty of visitors/buyers. (a bad buzz can also hurt your site forever).
You have to tweet things other than your products or it just looks like spam. You can bring in a couple K a day but you have to work at it and be consistent.

Twitter is the most ubiquotus social network of them all. It has the biggest number of trolls, fake accounts and spammers than any network, but it also has very vibrant communities, can be used for literally everything, and as we've seen it can even decide elections. So yes, you should give it a shot. It may not work for you, but I think it will if you give it a fair shot. I use it as a sort of a base, important updates and news about the company and product are shared on Twitter, promos and deals too, even some joke can't hurt every once in a while :)
