Twitter continues to add new ways in its program of anti-abuse.

Once an abusive account is identified twitter will, for a set amount of time, limit account functionality so that the account's tweets can only be seen by their followers.

User control is improving, to, with the ability to limit what you can see from certain types of accounts, such as those without a profile picture, or unverified e-mail or phone numbers.

The mute feature is also being extended so that you can remove certain keywords, phrases, or entire conversations from your notifications. It'll be possible to set the length of time the mute operates, such as one day, through to a month, or indefinitely.

Twitter intends to give more feedback over reports, and users will be notified if further action is taken over a report of abuse.

These new features are being rolled out globally over the next few weeks.
