Twitter has acquired Yes, the friend connection business in a move which must be to help users connect and become friends, especially at events and concerts. Of course, it could be used at many events, including conferences and exhibitions.

Twitter has acquired the app maker Yes in a move designed to encourage its users to get better acquainted with each other around events. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but as a result, Yes’ apps, Frenzy and WYD, are being shuttered “in the coming weeks.” Twitter Acquires Friend Connection App and Business, Yes [venturebeat.com]

What does this mean for our apps? In the coming weeks, we’ll be shutting down our apps so that we can focus entirely on our new efforts
Wonder what this means for their current users? Could they be grandfathered to the new Twitter platform?
