Ten years ago Jack Dorsey posted the first twitter message "just setting up my twttr" [twitter.com...]

Was that really ten years ago! To mark the decade of twitter, the company has posted a thank you on its blog. [blog.twitter.com...]

I was asked how to find your first tweet [discover.twitter.com...]

Did you find your first tweet, and was it anything significant?

Played the game about 30 seconds (tongue in cheek, but not for every long, I promise) and in the 10 years have seen what started out bright and shiny become something less than stellar, and in fact a bit dark and Orwellian from the top down. If T survives another 10 years I'll be a bit surprised, but more power and good luck. I just won't be playing (or worrying).

I remember using Twitter on a flip phone as they had a special mobile web friendly version available in Japan (we don't use SMS much here). Typing messages on a keypad necessitated even shorter messages, and a lot more abbreviations. My first tweets were nothing of import, that's for sure. ;)
