How to post same articles on Twitter & Facebook?

Hi, I have a website with accounts in twitter and Facebook. I regularly post tweets on twitter.com and sometimes FB.

I would like the same post to go to Facebook as well.

I have tried linking the two accounts (twitter and fb) so that the post is propagated to the fb page as well. However I read somewhere that linking the two accounts is not good as Facebook demotes the post that's coming from Twitter.

What's the best way to post articles on Twitter as well as Facebook and get response from followers? Kindly assist .Thanks!

Facebook and Twitter are 2 both good platforms in promoting articles. It would be best if you can always place a link back to your blog or homepage. In terms of the number of characters, Twitter is a bit limited for it only caters up to 140.

Personally, I do not link my Facebook and Twitter for to what I have said, the characters are a bit limited and it will be automatically cut after it hit the maximum number of characters.

Well, I am using scheduling tools - I have tried Hootsuite, Klout and Buffer and all these are good. You can also schedule the same articles differently (for it'll be added in "queue" so the posting time might be different from the other.

Through scheduling tools, you can share the same content in two platforms. This is however only applies for sending the updates. In engaging with your fans and followers or answering their questions it is still highly recommended that you are to do it personally and not automated since they might react badly in automated replies.

What @Al_gomez said is pretty much the case with everyone. Either you're going to have to use something like Hootsuite to manage your social media presence, or you need to add a social plug-in on your website that will automatically share everything to both Twitter and Facebook.

Consider this, though: your target audience behaves differently on Facebook than it does on Twitter. What gets people to engage with your content is different on both websites. Facebook needs images in posts to attract attention (8 times out of 10), but in Twitter it's all down to the text that goes with the link. So, in my humble opinion, it's better to treat the two as separate outlets

I read somewhere that FB demotes articles coming via Twitter. It's on the web the article by a blogger. I don't remember now but I've tested them (fb and tw) and definitely the number of people reached are low than what a direct post to a FB page would do.

I have a website well very new and I have a tumblr account. Tumblr gives you an option in its setting to post same link on FB and Twitter at the same time as Tumblr. If this can help!

i prefer Buffer, i find it easy to use, you can post images easily and it isn't overloaded with features i don't want ... so you could say i'm not a power user but it works fine for me, updating our twitter account.

Yes, I'm now using Buffer it simply works without being overly complex.
