Why someone follow me but I can not send him direct message?

Hello everybody, I'm new to twitter.As mentioned in the subject that,I get informed that some one is following me, but when I click his profile from the notified email and try to send him a direct message. It only shows the links of 'add or remove from list'.I don't want to send him message via the @#*$!xx.What's wrong, do any one knows?

Unless using for a fee other social management tool than Twitter you should use DM (Direct Message)
