Hi guys I need to increase my twitter followers. I have been tweeting regularily for the last few months and my followers count is about in the low thousands.

I noticed some IOS apps to acquire followers.. do they even work? Twigrow is one of them.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

We had a thread on this topic recently, and it has some good suggestions in it.

Organic growth in numbers is likely to be far more more valuable growth. However, it depends on what you're trying to achieve.
Automated twitter growth can be a minefield, not least because the followers are all hollow: Not of any quality. You can end up with a circle of followers following followers. It looks real bad, imho.

A serious follower will look to see the quality of your followers.

I always, without exception, steer clear of any followers I get that do not show a minimum level of quality.

It is not at all a good idea to opt for automated Twitter growth, because your number of followers will increase but that is not all because they will lack engagement in most cases and add no value. For quality followers you need to work a little more. Though you mentioned that you are tweeting regularly for last couple of months, you need to consider some points.

- Are your posts informative and engaging? Try to add variety to your tweets.

- Are you using hashtags in a correct way?According to experts it is best to use two most relevant hashtags for a post for maximum exposure.

- Tweeting will not only do. You also need to retweet others posts.

- Make your profile follow worthy with a nice pic and solid bio to trigger interests of viewers.

- If you have blogs you can add "Follow me on twitter" there.

A personal touch: Sometimes tweet quotes of inspiration. They truly work if you want to connect with your followers.

Consider this check-list. Hope it will boost your follower count.
