The last time I tried to advertise on reddit, I noticed that the input form favors large accounts that may not care so much about targeting, instead looking for a broad, generalized audience.

In contrast, Facebook allows for geo-targeting, age, gender, multiple interests.

I was surprised to find out that reddit does not allow advertising on specific subs. I get why there is no geo-targeting but it would befit reddit to allow advertisers to select certain communities. Reddit has an unexploited gold mine right there.

It's still one of the most solid and interesting websites on the internet after all these years. Who would have thought?

Actually agree that specific-subs targeting would unlock much more potential. It's part of what makes Reddit special—ads could feel less intrusive there!
