TikTok CEO: Facebook Is Making 'Copycat' Service 'Disguised As Patriotism' [

Article about the feud between Tiktok and FB. Market Dominance, free speech, patriotism, communism. Break out the popcorn this is going to get interesting.
But the one point that stuck out to me is this bit:
"We will not wait for regulation to come, but instead TikTok has taken the first step by launching a Transparency and Accountability Center for moderation and data practices. Experts can observe our moderation policies in real-time, as well as examine the actual code that drives our algorithms. This puts us a step ahead of the industry, and we encourage others to follow suit."
Google especially, and FB too have always claimed that they must keep their processes/algos secret to prevent nefarious players from gaming the system. Now TikTok claims that it will make them transparent. Is it possible? Can one have transparent algos that are not game-able? Or is the key to the statement "Experts" like back in the DMOZ days where a select few people could add and remove links, then you just needed to influence the "Experts".
