So I have this domain example.com and for whatever reason, Youtube doesn't allow "Example.com" as the channel's name.

Can anyone please advise me on what to name my Youtube channel then? Some tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Catchy? Fun? Intuitive? Sparkly?

A name is a name, what you make of it is the bigger question!

Meanwhile, if any good ideas are presented, it's a sure bet somebody will get there before you can!

Some things should not be sought in a public forum.

I suspect the youtube.com at the end of the url is one reason why...

What keywords do searchers use when looking for something similar to the focus of your channel?
or just use Example if that does it but I don't think you should worry over the domain name. You will add that in the links section.

Maybe Youtube is only trying to prevent you from making a mistake because they know that you can never buy the actual example.com domain. It is not an available domain name so you could never own it. The domain name is reserved by IANA, the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority and it was established to be used for examples only. It would be a mistake to try to brand it.

Hmm so is "Example Dotcom" or "Exampledotcom" better? Or neither! :-)

Other thing is it seems only verified youtube channels can get "Example.com" as channel name. Is this correct?

Your youtube channel names should describe your work If there is link between you and your work will definitely good for you.For example If your work is to explore new place and things so you can named your channel as Discover around the world.

Do people really mind the name of a channel? or even pay attention to?

Why you want to use dotcom in name, you can try other words something like itsexample, exampleofficial, examplehere, etc.

If you are using example.com as a domain name then your name surely is "example". Why add the .com to a youtube channel?
