Snapchat has acquired the mapping app and company, Zenly, and has now launched SnapMap, to enable users to see where their friends are on a map. The app uses GPS, and users with it enabled will be able to see and hook up with their local friends.
I can imagine this being useful if you're wanting to attract an audience at an event for meet-ups.
