Snapchat was once the leader in this sector until Facebook's muscle came in with Instagram to copy everything Snapchat did.
Now, Snapchat is on the road to catchup with it's own self-publishing ad tool, called Snap Publisher Tool.

Snaps got a lot of catching up to do...the thing about the platform is that right now, it is very much about communicating and streaks...since its not so open (which is part of the cool factor), its gonna be interesting to see how they balance that with the advertising side...I haven't been on it in a month or so..they do have scrollable content for various place if you swipe right but I wonder how interactions are looking on there relative to just snapping your friends? Also, with facebook copying all of snaps features...that is very telling of how much 'vision' they have left for the future of their products vs. just monetizing what they're already doing...
