Tsu social network is different in that users could earn from the site. The concept is that there would be a sharing of ad revenues. Getting paid to view ads may not be entirely new.

Do we really need a new social network?

I don't know any of my friends that would look at ads for payment. Well, probably not the kind of payment levels i'd expect to be seeing.

A social site that attracts people interested in getting paid to look at ads, whose social circle probably consists of other people willing to be paid for looking at ads (or hackers trying to game the system)- sounds like a place serious advertisers would want to stay way away from, meaning that revenue will most likely be seriously low, even before the revenue share.

This seems reminiscent of the "get paid to surf" sites from the late '90s.

I still see some people promoting Tsu, but I can't motivate myself to post anything there. Out of habit I secured an account, but like App, Diaspora and all the other me-too SNS I just can't be bothered. Has anyone stuck with it?
