I have a website for a destination/attraction. Within the website, we have a directory businesses that can be found at the destination. When a directory listing is called up the specific schema for the listing type is used ie. A restaurant uses the schema for restaurants a home repair business uses it's schema etc. While great for the individual listings, are we potentially having a negative impact on the domain who is a destination/tourist attraction? Is Google going to look at a listing and say "no, you are an attraction, not a body shop" and discount it? Or are we going to get a gold star for being good community members?

Any real or anecdotal evidence?

I was under the impression that microdata was on a per-page basis so the scheme you present for the listings should have no negative effect on the site as a whole.
