Hello,
I have a site that is not responsive and not adjusted, it has 3 versions : pc tablet and mobile, every version has different pages .
I have made 2 sitemaps one for the pc version and one for the mobile version. the url's of the mobile and the pc site looks like this: http://xxx@example.com the difference is that they don't have the same pages.
I saved in the ftp server the mobile sitemap as this example: sitemap-mobile.xml but when i submit it to webmaster tools it shows me 404 error. do i have to make 3 different sitemaps for every version of the site? and if so , what can be the correct forms to do that ?

Thanks!

Have you tried "Fetch as Google" in the GSC (GWT) for your sitemap URLs? That can show you if there are difficulties in crawling for any reason. The "@" in the URL stands out as a possible problem for crawling.

Thanks i will try, this is a mistake the @ on the url,
The mistake that i get from WMT is that : "Your Sitemap does not contain any URLs. Please validate and resubmit your Sitemap."
The sitemap contains url's , but it don't index it.

Any tips what can be the problem?

When you use the "Fetch as Google" it can point out more specific problems it has when trying to crawl or render a file. The "Sitemaps" section just tells you that something is wrong with the file. I would also try to check the file in some other tools to be sure it is not just a formatting issue.

You can paste an .xml sitemap in the validator at [w3schools.com...] or if it is in another format, visit the validation page at [validator.w3.org...] or try the WebmasterWorld xml validator: [freetools.webmasterworld.com...]

If Google is showing a 404 error when you try to use "Fetch as Google" in WMT (GSC) that means that the sitemap is not where you tell them it is at. If it says there are no URLs in your sitemap then it is a validation issue.

Thanks i did "fetch as google" and i got " 200 ok code response , googlebot have recognize the mobile sitemap type as: "Smartphone ."
But when i check under "sitemaps" i get the following message: "your Sitemap does not contain any URLs. Please validate and resubmit your Sitemap."
My question is if the code respond is 200 under "fetch as google" so is there a validation problem or format problem?

Thanks!

To check whether a page validates you can visit one of the code validators mentioned in my previous post. What do you see in your browser when you visit the URL that you are giving to Google? What do you see when you examine the document in a text editor? The problem may only be a formatting or heading issue, the validators can tell you what needs to be fixed.
