Hi I own example.com and example.net

In GWt I have added www.example.com and example.com

Redirected example.com to www.example.com

Www. Example.com is the preferred domain in GWT

I also have example.net which redirects to www. Example.com

I have added www.example.net to GWT

Is there anything wrong in this setup in GWT? Do I need to do anything with www.example.net in GWT?

I would appreciate any expert guidance!

Thanks
Regards
Kip

Always add domains in pairs, with and without www. Redirect one version to the other version. Check the "wrong" version periodically to make sure nobody is linking to it. Most other things will be the same.

Hi Lucy, thanks for the tips. I have added example.com, www.example.com, and example.net and www.example.net to GWT

I have redirected example.net & www.example.net to www.example.com using .htaccess.

However when I check GWT for domain example.com and click on "Links to your site" it lists example.net as being the site with most links to example.com.

How do I fix this?

Regards,
Kip

There is nothing to fix here - this is how GA reports it when you have 301 redirect. What you have done is fine. Every now and then do go and check example.net domain to make sure there are no issues there.

The problem is that earnings from Google Adsense has gone down since optimizing in GWT!

It's been 4-5 days since we did the GWT setup and earnings have gone down since then. Any reason?

Thanks!
