Site Titles not taken after 2 months, Descriptions Updated - help

After robots.txt issues, google refuses to index Page title changes

Hey there guys,

First time poster here on webmaster world but have used the site numerous times for research and finally I have a pressing question that is causing major problems.

When our devs moved the site from staging to live, the robots.txt wasnt corrected and the indexing was blocked.

After changing that robots.txt to allow crawling, the new meta descriptions were crawled and indexed, while the page titles remain from the older work in the SERPS.

After waiting over 2 months, attempting re-inclusion requests as well as running a small PPC campaign to try get Google to include the new titles in the SERPS, I have come up empty.

Even attempts for a week now with the <noarchive> meta robots to force it to not pull from cache has not made changes to the SERPS.

The site is coded in Drupal and changes to the Titles and Descriptions have been made using the SimpleMeta Plugin.

Anyone have any advice on what changes can be made to get the titles indexed?

Oh and another point not mentioned before, but probably crucial - Bing and other search engines have indexed the site correctly since the changes, it is only Google that is not indexing the correct Titles.

Search around the forums for other discussions of g### and titles. Short answer: They will give a page whatever title they feel like and there's not a thing you can do about it :(
