Hello there,

I have a website that is being crawled by google every day. Every once in a while it caches my website, but the search results are not updated as my title, and other things changes.

This is very annoying as no changes I make has an impact on my search result.

I am using google webmaster tools, and have a sitemap available for google.

The question:
Is it normal that it takes a few months before searches are updated, or is there something I can do?

Thanks,
Marius

Problem solved. Google just updated their database. My website went from result number 66 to 8. Good feeling, uh? :) hehe.

Thank you for your time.

Kind regards,
Marius

It's normally the case Google takes about a month to actually process the pages its crawled. The more popular your website (e.g. microsoft.com) then the faster it updates its search results.

its not normal for it to take months for your title & snippet to change. as for your rankings that is alot more complicated but basically it is determined by content & backlinks. if you want google to crawl you faster you should get more links pointing to your site.

i think you might want to head over to the link development section and read up on some ideas :)
