nofollow tag or prevent robots from visiting /admin page?

What is the most SEO friendly way to handle admin pages? Using the new google speed tool, it has cited several of my admin pages as being very slow... anyone share a similar issue? is this really an issue?

i generally block my admin pages from being indexed. also the google speed tool is not the most accurate. i would focus more on your most visited pages loading as fast as possible.
