Remove www. before sitename

I want to know how i can remove www. from a www.sitename.com

And get the msn search to index only [sitename.com...] not [sitename.com...]

Hello , if you are on apache server then you may write rewrite rule in your htaccess file to redirect www traffic to non www

just add one 301 redirect in htaccess and all you want would be done

Try a search [google.com] for several hundred previous answers. :)

Some of the code examples in these threads redirect from non-www to www, but it's a simple matter to reverse this.
