I m thinking of buying UBB licence rather than trying to find and download a crack.

Are you familiar with UBB?? Is it easy to install and run? Is it easy to set it up and get it colorful etc?

Also how many mb of space does it take?

phpBB is an excellent bulletin board which is on the verge of version 2.

It's easy to install, set up and customise and it's free. Take a look at that before you buy any thing. You'll find it at sourceforge or hotscripts.com

You are wonderful sarkye. Its actual homepage is [phpbb.com...] and yes it is free.

It looks similar to that expensive UBB. And you can have it legitimitely without the restrictions of UBB licence stuf.

SHAME ON UBB!!!!!!

THanks

Hehe... my idea is that there's no reason for 'shaming' UBB just because they want to make a living at what they do. ;)

That said, I love finding quality free scripts and software, but I certainly don't begrudge those who want to get paid for what they do.

When I was considering putting up a board system, I was impressed with what I saw in Ikonboard.

Once you get beyond, 'here is the free script' and have to start paying for all the overhead associated with producing a commercial program, you have to get paid for it. Vbb is no different.
