CPAN modules won't make or install

My CPAN module will not install new modules. I can not install new modules manually either. Everything I've tried results in more and more errors.

I just upgraded from Mac OS 10.3.9 to 10.4.6 which was a huge mistake. Perl used to work perfectly - now nothing works.

I can't f around with this anymore. I need some instructions for wiping perl completely off the drive and reinstalling it and I need the instructions to be accurate - not cryptic 'programmer' instructions.

Or please tell me what might be wrong elsewhere. I'm on a MacBook Pro 1.83 Intel Duo running OS 10.4.6.

A: open a terminal session and input three binary signals to the main bus signal transfer processor from the keyboard mapping application (see help files for instructions).

B: Wait for a FIFO command signal to be returned.

C: Shutdown computer and restart in executive bypass mode (see help files for instructions).

D: Search through the file allocation tables and remove all instances of TY4x00934ywq using the executive command interface.

E: Shutdown computer and restart normally.

F: Reinstall perl.
