Problem with CGI program

Hi,

For some reason, I keep on getting either on of these errors on my CGI pages, but not at the same time:

CGI Timeout
The specified CGI application exceeded the allowed time for processing. The server has deleted the process.

CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

After I refresh the page, it works fine again. After about 30 minutes or so, the errors come back.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can correct these errors?

What is the script doing? It sounds as if the script is going into some sort of loop and not completing its task.

Try looking at the error logs for your site to see if they will give you a hint of what is going on.

Yes, it is a program used for live chat on my site. Have been unsuccessful in contacting the author of the program, so don't know what to do.
