Would anyone know of a site offering free server space with CGI capabilities? I'm just trying to learn, and i'm not ready to shell out cash for a server yet... a site with no ads would be ideal, of course. Any info would be MUCHO appreciated!

I don't know of any free ones, especially with out ads, but there are some very inexpensive ones around.

A couple of bucks a month isnt really much for a good development space. I think mine is 10$/mth. I can also imagine how good the support would be on a free host, a couple of bucks for good support doesn't seem wasteful.

I've never seen one, but why not install apache & perl on your own machine? That will let you bang out some scripts, plus it'll be a learning experience.

if you pay for a year, you can get cgi scripting, 50 megs of hosting space, etc for only 18 bucks... for the entire year! Hosting is cheap now. Do not bother with a free web host. It is not worth it.
