Script Works On SubDomain Not On Main Domain

I'm giong round and round with this script I have. It's a shopping cart with affiliate program. When I install it on a sub-domain on the same server, it works beautifully. Sale registered, Affiliate sale credited, affiliate notified, all email A-OK.

I moved the script to the live site, root domain, same server same everything with the exception of:
-Different URL (one is test.domain.com, live is domain.com)
-Live site has https:// test doesn't

My question is - could this have something to do with the secure URL? The script doesn't seem to register the sale and affiliate info properly in the database but it does on the test. SO confused.

Did you figure this out yet? Another option that comes to mind here may be the cookie being set if the cart is using cookies.
