I'm trying to set a cookie session from an html file to a perl script using javascript but the cookie looses its parameters when passed to the perl script. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Are you setting the cookie using JavaScript? What do you mean when you say "losing its parameters"? As in, the cookie just isn't set, or some information is missing...?
