Hi:

I am still a real "newbie" when it comes to keeping my colo running. I periodically run CPAN, and the command "r" to see whixch modules need updating- and then I update them. But I get the occasional module that I update, and I re-run "r" and it still tells me I need to update that module.

Here are a couple of the current modules and versions "r" is showing:

Attribute::Handlers 0.77 0.78
DBI::Format 11.4 11.91
List::Util 1.07_00 1.11
Net::Cmd 2.21 2.23

The first number is the version it thinks I have, and the second the most recent version. ALL of these I have run "install module::name" and I still get this.

Can anyone set me straight on this?

Thanks!

Dave

hmm. Sounds like you are doing it right. Have you tried removing any modules that you have installed, then installing from scratch to see what the numbers say?

(sorry, I use win ppm under win perl)...

Hi Brett:

I have not uninstalled- never figured out how to do that in CPAN. I have reinstalled with the "clean" attribute...

(Sorry about posting in the wrong forum... )
