I am looking for a classified ad script with pay option that will allow to post ads for specific dates. All of the software I've found has only ad expiration function.

bit of a problem, sounds like a custom solution to me.
sorry I can't help more but I imagine you have looked through the engines to find classified scripts already.

Check out e-Classifieds. If I am not wrong, It does all what you looking for and lot more ;)

I used that a few years ago and it worked quite well. I made no money off it but it was easy to set up and they had a range of options and it was cheap.

$999 for e-classifieds (commerce edition) is high. I may need to buy multiple licenses It may be cheaper to have someone write the code. Almond Classifieds is a nice program for 1/4 the cost. I am currently evaluating the demo.
