It doesn't work on PC's running a personal firewall, (Norton Personal Firewall 2002).
If I disable the firewall it works fine but when enabled, clicking on Submit just returns the standard 404 error screen appears.
Anyone have any ideas here? is there a workaround that I can use?
Thank you in advance for your kind help.
Regards
Matt
Are there common settings on their firewall that may be stopping the script? Do they have it set to bulletproof security or something? Is your script the only one that doesn't work or do no forms work?
I cannot see any bullet-proof settings on the firewall side - it is however all forms that are failing to work, not just the one - but they all run FormMail 1.92
When I disable the Firewall it works fine.
I am able in Norton Pers. Firewall to set up trusted sites - is this likely to be necessary?
Cheers
Matt
In fact the firewall works well enough to stop referers etc.
It does sound like a setting issue of some kind.
Sticky me your url is you want me to try filling out the form.
* matt's standard form mail script
* msn.co.uk search(!)
* my newsletter script ;)
* my link counting script ;)
and all because it hides the referrer - and all of the above like to know where you are coming from.
my norton is set on bog standard settings, so many peoploe al around the world must be experiencing the same?
