Traxis - Collective, New versions in beta testing

Both Traxis 1.0 beta and The Collective 3.0 beta are being tested by several people literally as we speak. There isn't much new in Traxis as it is mainly a maintenance release to see if I have finally fixed the two main bugs (install and image counter problems).

The Collective on the other hand is a completely new interface with a slew of new features.

Those that are currently just trying either program, you are wise to wait. There are two know problems with Traxis .98 alpha, and the last collective 2.x versions. The collective problem is on install and two of the search engine submission strings have gone stale due to search engines updating recently.

Will Traxis be upgradable or a new install?

I've redone this about three times Steve trying to find an answer to the install problem of not finding the proper path. I fix it for Unix and it breaks under win - do it the other way and it is vice versa.

The goal is to be 100% no brain upgrade - drop onto the old version and go.

I've got a new full install program ready, but it is not debugged. I'm going to push it on to the back burner for 2.0 and instead focus solely and killing every last critter in 1.0.

The Collective is another story. It has in many ways, grown more complicated than Traxis. The 3.0 version is vastly different in most of it's data sets that it is going to require a full install from scratch.

Will the data set (i.e., the URLs already submitted) be portable to the new version?
