Google has released the final versions of Android 8.1 Oreo and Android Oreo (Go edition).
Android 8.1 also has a Neural Networks API, which is a hardware accelerated machine learning runtime for support of machine learnings capabilities in developer's apps.

The Go Edition is designed for entry-level devices.

You can get started with Android 8.1 Oreo (API level 27) today. We're pushing sources to Android Open Source Project now, and rolling out the update to supported Pixel and Nexus devices over the next week. We're also working with our device maker partners to bring Android 8.1 to more devices, including Android Oreo (Go edition) devices, in the months ahead. My tablet is blocked beyond 6.0.

My phone is running 7.1 and should be eligible for Oreo but I'll likely need to wait until my carrier completes its UI.

Seems only devices running pure Android get these updates relative to the announcement.
