IBM released their "Black Friday Report 2012"
The biggest surge came from mobile consumers, with sales reaching 16.3 percent, led by the iPad. This data is the result of cloud-based analytics findings from IBM.
I found in interesting to note that I seem to be far from the only one to have used a mobile device to check on web offers while in a store. What I found unexpected however was that they found that of those that do that, 41% used a tablet. Feels to me like it's far too big to use in a store to look up competing prices.
Also it seems to again confirm that the iPhone+iPad traffic greatly overshadows the Android traffic, despite the dominance in number of units out there being in favor of Android.
Equally it seems to again to confirm that social media traffic is not leading to any significant sales volume, even more interesting it decreased by 35% compared to 2011.
