When the message gets to my cell phone, the From field is just sequentially numbered like 505, 506, 507, etc.
Instead I'd like to have the from field be a phone number entered into the original web form, so I can select "call" on my phone and have it dial them right away. Otherwise, I have to write down the number and then enter it to call the person filled out my webform.
I had thought it would just use the from header on the email I sent, but this shows up as the first line of the text message. Is there a different header I should use?
Hope this isn't one of those things that will vary by phone/carrier.
When I use Google's sms service it shows 46645 as their reply code. When I send a text message to my own phone it shows a +1 then the ten digit number. When I hit "call" for either of these it starts dialing correctly.
So, I guess what I'm trying to do is make my emails to the text message gateway appear as if they were coming from another phone.
